The importance of stretching before, during and after exercise, for both men and women undoubtedly goes unnoticed when individuals are enthralled by their exercise regimes. Whether it be using weights, doing yoga, performing cardio exercises or simply going for a run around the block, stretching has many benefits, particularly for women!
On a technical level, researchers have suggested that stretching for women can help with reducing Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). It’s believed that by performing stretches, such as the relaxant poses used in yoga, women become at peace and have less pain during their menstrual cycle. It’s amazing that doing something so simple and small almost can be very beneficial to your physical and mental health!
Not to forget those who just love to exercise, stretching helps to improve the length of time you can actually exercise for! By stretching your muscles and body out, your body is able to perform better and longer. Stretching allows your body to loosen and not become tense, which exercise can cause at times. Thus, you can perform exercise routines more efficiently and with less pain during and after your exercise.
Stretching for women whilst exercising may seem insignificant and goes unnoticed when doing exercise, but ladies anything that allows less pain, less mood swings, more energy and performance, is definitely worth doing!
